This is our new motto with the aim of supplementing and expanding our previous work and adapting it to the challenges of our time.

Current project: Integration is becoming a school subject

Our current project concerns integration.

Many people in the country are concerned about the issue of integrating new people. Whether everyone welcomes them or not, these people are here and we (and they too) must deal with them and master the new situation in every respect. It is not just politics or the police that are needed here, and unfortunately, despite these really pressing questions, politics in particular is currently failing to provide us with answers, and this is the case across Europe, by the way.

Let us therefore tackle these problems as a civil society, here where we can, because it cannot and must not be the case that people “get caught up in the wheels”.

It is about people!

First and foremost, these are the citizens of our country who live here!

It is the people who built our country, who keep it going every day; those who make their contribution to the community every day, in paid work or in charitable activities, enabling our state to function; in schools, kindergartens, on the railways, in the power plant, in large-scale industry, in supermarkets, in medium-sized businesses as well as in one-man businesses, in all businesses and institutions and there in employed, self-employed, freelance or other activities.

They are also those who invest their time and often their hard-earned money in voluntary work so that our community functions! So in the end all those people who think, work, act, lead, contribute, pay taxes and with their commitment create the substance that ultimately allows us to somehow afford to help in many ways!

We are certain:

If we don’t forget any of “our” people, each of them will be happy to help … … for example the new people in our country who deserve a chance if they have the honest will to integrate into the country and society. We as the Graf Luckner Society have made it our mission to prepare the ground so that such an opportunity has a real basis and that the new people ultimately become an asset to our community.

They and we have earned it – let’s get to work!
